Rosie’s Pizzeria opened its doors under the name Diorio’s South Pizza (DSP) back in 2005 as a walk up counter, New York style pizza by the slice, hole in the wall (to be honest), local hangout. Rosie and Paul bought the pizzeria in 2012 with a vision of turning it into the go to place for local and visitors alike that it is now. The only remaining evidence that remains of the original DSP is the huge pizza by the slice on the menu and the occasional Pagosa ‘old timer’ that will still refer to it as DSP. We have extended the menu to include some of the best starters (famous for our stuffed garlic knots), fresh salads, warm and toasty subs, huge paninis, homemade desserts, a full bar, and calzones and strombolis.
Rosie and Paul have been working hard for the last eight years to see the vision of Rosie’s Pizzeria come to fruition. You will still see them in the restaurant daily cooking pizza, waiting tables, or just enjoying the company of the patrons. We look forward to making every customer that walks through the door feel like they are living and eating like a local because at Rosie’s everyone is a local.
